These DIY Mid-Century plants stands are EVERYTHING!! I've become pretty plant obsessed lately and find myself spending hours watching YouTube videos about cacti and Fiddle Figs!! I've killed many plants in my day (mainly succulents) and have found cacti are the only ones I've managed to keep semi-alive (lol) ! If you want a low maintenance plant cacti only need to be watered once a month so if you semi neglect them they will actually thrive!
I am also on the hunt for a LARGE cactus ( I'm talking like 3-4 feet tall!) but haven't been able to find any plant nurseries in GA so if you know of a place let a sista know!
While trying to kill time before work I made a pit stop at my favorite second-hand store in hopes of finding another denim jacket I could work my magic on, but then I saw these things! A creative urge can over me and I knew right away I had to have them!!
I gently popped out the glass bowls and replaced them with clay and glass pots.. and just like that the odd gold candle holders were turned into cutie little Mid-Century house planters! I am obsessed with the way they fit into my home style and even more excited that I only spent a total of $2 on each gold iron stand!! My place is now filled with so many lil plants it makes me so happy!
A huge tip I give people when trying to find hidden gems in thrift stores is to not get too caught up in the mess and use your imagination! Beautiful treasures go unnoticed in the midst of all the other "garbage" you find when shopping through second-hand places so take your time, dream big, and create away!
Life update.. I also recently painted everything Behr Ultra White and I am LOVING how my light blue velvet couch pops! This couch has given me so much inspiration and I am working on a blog post with it right now :)
