Printer Tray Makeover

I found this printers tray for $12 dollars at an antique market and I was allllll heart eyes when I saw it!! It was slightly damaged (the back was coming off and the wood color was dulling) so I gave it a little makeover :) I always envisioned having an old printers tray to use for all my essential oils and random tiny treasures I collect and my dream finally came to life!! I styled it with my readers, polaroids, lipsticks, a lil cacti and a gold square mirror I recently thrifted! The tray pairs so nicely with the hairpin bench I built and this little corner is now my favorite space.... well until next week when I change it yet again lol... can't stop won't stop!

I used wood glue, clamps and heavy weights to reattach the damaged wood on the back and make it like new!! Then I added hooks to the frame to hang it properly on the wall.

I then used Howards Butcher Block Conditioner to put the deep rich colors back in the wood and give it back its moisture. I didn't touch the inside and kept the chippy parts because I felt it had such great character and kept the antique look I was going for.

I LOVE the end result and am so so happy with it!!
